Greenline 42 efficiency and autonomy, the reasons to fall in love
Greenline 42 makes its debut in the water at the Venice Boat Show. Choosing Greenline Yachts means choosing to sail embracing a very particular paradigm. Going to sea in the comfort of silence, energy efficiency, and respect for the environment, these are the foundations of the Greenline philosophy.

Since 2008, the shipyard has been a pioneer in adopting hybrid propulsion systems, changing navigation habits and discovering a new balance between sailing and respect for the environment.
“Bringing the Greenline 42 to Venice for its first water presentation is something truly special for us,” says Global Business Director, Alessandro Lorenzon. “Venice is my home, and there is no better place to showcase a yacht that perfectly embodies our philosophy of modern, comfortable, and connected sailing: efficiency, flexibility, perfect continuity between interiors and exteriors, and the possibility of a silent and responsible cruise.”

Energy Independence
The Greenline 42 features 10 solar panels on its roof that generate up to 4.5 kW during peak hours and a lithium battery pack (22 kWh, expandable up to 66 kWh) that allows for staying at anchor for 48 hours in complete silence, without necessarily having to turn on a generator. Zero noise, zero environmental impact, and maximum comfort.
Hybrid System H-Drive 6G
With the H-Drive 6G system, you can navigate in Full Electric mode at a maximum speed of 6.5 knots for about 10-15 nautical miles; this mode is perfect for moving from one bay to another or from one island to another if we are in an archipelago. With the battery expansion pack , you have a range of 30-35 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 4-5 knots. The system exchanges energy between the internal combustion engine and the propeller shaft, recovering energy lost by the engines during diesel navigation and using it to recharge the batteries. This way, upon arrival at the destination, the batteries are fully charged, ready to provide over 48 hours of autonomy.

A “Sea Front Property”
With the help of solar panels and lithium batteries, we can use refrigerators, induction cooktops, and air conditioning completely autonomously while at anchor for two days without any problem. An interior and exterior design optimized for living like at home but with a 360-degree sea view. Thanks to Marco Casali, the Italian designer who has already designed the Greenline 58, the new Greenline 42 adopts solutions based on the needs expressed by owners who requested more space for relaxation and a fresher, more modern style.

Ease of Maneuvering
Managing tight spaces will not be a problem thanks to the two maneuvering propellers at both the bow and stern, allowing the Greenline 42 to rotate on itself. In the presence of currents or crosswinds, mooring will be much easier even with a reduced crew.
Habitability and Safety
An authentically Greenline yacht, characterized by an elegant “S” shaped hull line and large glass surfaces at 360 degrees. A vessel designed to face wind and sea with total safety, ensuring comfortable and efficient navigation to any destination. The interiors of the 42 benefit from slightly more volume compared to the Greenline 40. A two-cabin configuration, with a spacious owner’s cabin at the bow and a convertible twin/double guest cabin to the left. A second bathroom option is now also available to offer more privacy to the owner.
The bathroom introduces a touch of luxury with designer sinks and faucets, while the spaces dedicated to storing clothes and personal effects remain at the top of the category.
The stylistic update signed by Casali finds full expression in a new palette of contemporary interiors, with two layouts defining different atmospheres based on the main essences of the interiors: “Honey Teak” and “Modern Oak.”

“With the new Greenline 42, we had to find a delicate balance,” explained Casali. “We wanted to reinterpret the Greenline 40 without conveying the idea of something completely new. We focused a lot on the shapes of the boat, avoiding curved furniture in favor of more taut and linear lines. This language recalls the decisive profiles of the sculpted hulls and the roof.”

Greenline 42, Efficient and Stable Hull (Designed by MICAD)
The new Greenline 42 reaches a maximum speed of 25 knots with diesel propulsion, about 3 knots more than the Greenline 40 with the same engine. The hull designed by the naval architects at Micad is indeed faster and more efficient, allowing for greater performance while reducing consumption, without sacrificing stability during navigation.
