“Ocean tribute” 2026 at BOOT 2026

The “ocean tribute” 2026 award celebrates the commitment to the protection of the seas, resulting from the collaboration between the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the German Ocean Foundation, and the boot Düsseldorf boat show.

The winner will receive a prize of €20,000 during the official ceremony to be held on January 20, 2026 at the Düsseldorf City Hall.

Iberian Orca Guardians	Spain	Protection of the extremely rare Iberian orca population (about 35 individuals) through patrolling and raising awareness among sailors.
Marinecultures.org	Switzerland / Zanzibar	Restoration of coral reefs (10,000 corals planted per year) and sustainable cultivation of sponges for the livelihood of local women.
One Ocean Planet Foundation	Spain	Global educational programs (such as Generation Blue) to empower youth and documentaries on the ocean’s central role in climate.
Sailing Together / F2 Eco	Austria	An eco-friendly coating for hulls (“antifouling”) free of biocides, silicones, or microplastics, designed to last over 5 years.
Turtle Foundation	Cape Verde	Protection of loggerhead turtles from poaching and recycling of plastic collected on beaches (LixoLimpo).
