Lagoon EIGHTY 2, elegant escape

Lagoon “EIGHTY 2” represents the very essence of travel, an escape dictated by elegance and time that takes on a different meaning. On board this catamaran, one feels as if they are distancing themselves not only from the coast but from everything that does not belong to us, finally leaving us free.

With a length of just under 25 meters and a maximum beam of 11 meters, it is the flagship of the sailing catamarans from the French shipyard, successor to the previous Seventy 7, blending enormous volumes and modern naval architecture with a very high level of customization.

At the stern, a huge hydraulic platform extends the full width, increasing the usable deck area by a remarkable 22 square meters, creating a truly impressive terrace over the sea. When needed, it can be partially submerged to facilitate descent into the water, becoming a private beach from which to dive or snorkel. A true “floating private Beach Club”.

The main deck is completely (flush): there are no steps or level changes between the platform, the external cockpit, and the internal salon. When the large glass door opens, the horizon and spaces merge to offer a breathtaking and unobstructed view. Designed by the masters of naval architecture at VPLP Design, with the exterior style by Patrick Le Quément and interiors curated by the Italian Nauta Design, the Lagoon “EIGHTY 2” is a true villa on the sea.

Layout Lagoon “EIGHTY 2”: the choice

On board, it can accommodate from 8 to 16 people depending on the layout chosen by the owner; moreover, the French shipyard offers the option to place the kitchen either in the main salon (galley up) or in the hull (galley down), directly connected to the crew’s quarters for maximum discretion, just like on a Superyacht. The owner’s suite is located at the bow of the starboard hull, a true oasis that, in addition to being equipped with every onboard comfort, features a hydraulically lowering section of the hull that, when opened, creates a private balcony suspended over the sea, accessible directly from the bed.

Lagoon “Eighty 2”, even though it offers a luxury hôtellerie onboard experience, is a sailing catamaran with excellent performance. With a sail area of about 338 m² and a hull optimized by VPLP, it ensures smooth passages over the waves and high transfer speeds.

On the upper deck, a 50 m² flybridge houses the dual helm, leaving ample space for sunbathing areas and a rigid hardtop that integrates solar panels to power the onboard electronics when at anchor, reducing the use of generators.

For owners seeking maximum livable space, stability at anchor, uncompromising luxury, and sailing performance, the French flagship represents, today, one of the choices in the landscape of “high level multihulls.”
