XO Boats in Cannes with the XO EXPLR 44 and XO DFNDR 9

XO Boats – EXPLR 44

Leveraging all the advantages of a hull and superstructure made entirely of aluminum, combined with the search for new solutions to create a boat made for exploration, is the DNA of the shipyard that has built its international reputation in the production of high-performance aluminum boats, capable of facing the most challenging marine environments and providing excellent daily livability.

With its 44 feet, the EXPLR fully utilizes the rigidity guaranteed by aluminum, thanks to robust 8 mm stringers on the bottom and a 5 mm hull, at the helm of this ultimate exploration yacht, one can feel the solidity, with a spacious double bed in the bow, a bathroom with a separate shower area, and generous internal height.

The model that will be showcased during the Cannes Yachting Festival will feature a triple Mercury engine with 425 hp, an advanced Garmin electronics package, a Seakeeper 4 gyroscopic stabilizer, and a wide range of high-standard equipment, and although it represents an exceptionally complete setup, it does not yet fully showcase the entire customization possibilities available in the XO range.

XO Boats – DFNDR 9

At the Cannes Yachting Festival, there will also be the DFNDR 9, the adventure boat, a vessel dedicated to testing and demonstrating Seakeeper systems, a nine-meter boat with a central console that showcases its best qualities when the sea becomes a challenge.

With a deep V hull, made from military-grade aluminum on the market, and an aesthetic design made possible by state-of-the-art fiberglass, the new DFNDR 9 is comfortable in the roughest seas. To test it, the shipyard set out on a windy day and crossed the stormy Baltic Sea, passing through its most remote outer islands, from Finland to Sweden.

The interiors of the XO DFNDR 9 are designed to combine maximum practicality with the comfort necessary for extended outings and overnight stays on board. Under the central console and the bow area, there is a cabin that accommodates a double berth for two people, with a separate bathroom.

The model displayed at the Cannes Yachting Festival will be equipped with two Mercury V6 engines with 225 hp, a Seakeeper Ride system, and a Seakeeper 1 stabilizer. Guests interested in trying the latest stabilization technologies in real conditions can book a sea trial during the festival.
