GREENLINE 42 lands in Cannes: innovation meets contemporary design

The GREENLINE 42 will be present at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, the first of the nautical events in September taking place from September 8 to 13.

“The Cannes Yachting Festival is the ideal stage for the Greenline 42,” said Global Business Director Alessandro Lorenzon. “This yacht represents the evolution of everything Greenline stands for: efficient cruising, exceptional comfort, intelligent use of space, and a more contemporary design language. Following the enormous interest we have seen since the launch, we are excited to present the Greenline 42 to the international audience that Cannes attracts every year

Set to become the flagship of the new GREENLINE line, this yacht combines practicality with a new flexibility design, enhancing life on board without sacrificing performance. Designer Marco Casali, who has already collaborated on the flagship Greenline 58, has been instrumental in defining the new brand guidelines through this new model.

“New models are rare at Greenline Yachts because we take pride in the longevity of our designs,” Lorenzon said. “When we gathered feedback from our owners, several priorities became clear. They wanted more space in the helm to relax, higher performance under power, and a more contemporary aesthetic. The Greenline 42 offers all this while remaining true to the DNA that has made Greenline successful”.

The large 360-degree side windows, the S-line of its transparencies, and the aerodynamic profile of the roof are the unmistakable aesthetic features of the GREENLINE 42. The close interaction between the designer and the GREENLINE YACHT shipyard is even more evident in the generous spaces of the dinette: a large folding table can comfortably accommodate eight people, and the cockpit and aft deck merge into a single, welcoming open space.

Greenline 42, energy management: news and confirmations

Energy management is the flagship of Greenline Yachts, with ten solar panels installed and integrated on the roof of the Greenline 42 (up to 4.5 kW), which, combined with a 22 kW battery bank (expandable to 66 kW/h), allows owners to enjoy all onboard services in complete autonomy. With the standard battery pack, the range is about 10 – 15 nautical miles while maintaining a cruising speed of around 4-5 knots. With the extension pack (up to 66-77 kWh), the range significantly increases, allowing for between 20 and 35 nautical miles at a constant speed of 4-5 knots.

The Greenline 42 offers two engine options to suit every style of navigation: the traditional Yanmar 250 HP engines, ideal for those seeking classic performance, or the advanced H-Drive 6G hybrid system by Greenline, designed for those who wish to navigate with zero emissions and maximum silence.

In hybrid configuration, the powerful electric motors positioned between the engines and the propellers allow for silent maneuvers and cruising speeds of up to 6.5 knots. In diesel mode, the system collects energy to recharge the batteries, ensuring sufficient power for silent operation when at anchor.

The collaboration with naval architects Micad has allowed for the development of this new hull, which reaches a maximum speed of 25 knots, offering stability and efficiency, synonymous with a comfortable and economical cruise. The contemporary style of architect Casali has enabled the creation of two bright and spacious layouts (Golden Teak or Silver Oak to choose from) designed to have a welcoming atmosphere. A master cabin at the bow and a guest cabin to the left; a bathroom to the right, with the option of a second bathroom for a solution with greater privacy.

Architect Marco Casali – Too Design

“With the new Greenline 42, we wanted to evolve the design without losing the qualities that owners already love,” said Casali. “The emphasis was on creating cleaner shapes, more contemporary living spaces, and a stronger connection between the internal and external architecture of the yacht.”

Vladimir Zinchenko CEO of Greenline Yachts

“The demand for the Greenline 40 remains significantly strong,” said owner and CEO of Greenline Vladimir Zinchenko. “As the project developed, it became clear that the Greenline 42 was not a replacement but a new opportunity. Owners wanted a yacht positioned between 40 and 45, incorporating the latest ideas introduced on the Greenline 58. The result is a completely new model that expands the range and offers customers even greater choice.”
